Requirements for registration of domain in Egypt (.eg domains)



a)**Requirements** (.eg domains)

Domain Name Application, containing all the data of the client and desired Domain Name.

    * Copy of the Client's ID or passport (for individuals) 

Legalized and Notarized Power of Attorney

A signed and stamped Domain Name Request Letter from the client directed to the Egyptian Domain Names office stating that the client is authorizing TMP to register his domain name

A Trademark registration certificate matching the domain name; the trademark should be registered in Egypt either through the Egyptian Trademark Office or the WIPO

Copy of the Commercial registration certificate or any commercial


- Time for processing: 14 working days



b) Requirements (.com.eg domains) - Original documents are required

Domain Name Application, containing all the data of the client and desired Domain Name.

Legalized and Notarized Power of Attorney (Legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate)

A signed and stamped Domain Name Request Letter from the client directed to the Egyptian Domain Names office stating that the client is authorizing TMP to register his domain name.

Copy of the Commercial registration certificate or any commercial reference of the client that can be submitted by e-mail or fax (on official letterhead)

  - NOTE1: If the domain does not match the company name, you must provide official documents to prove the domain belongs to the company. such as Certificate of Registration of a Trademark, Copyright, Patent, or another Domain Name. 

  - NOTE2: For French clients only a signed and notarized Power of Attorney at the Notary Public is sufficient

Notes:

- For Second-Level Domains: if the applicant doesn’t have registration certificate or Trademark in Egypt the officials may accept the Commercial Registration Certificate from the applicant's country or any registered worldwide trademark which proves or indicates the relation between the client and the desired domain name.
